Tributes to the former Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Servet Pëllumbi, will take place this Wednesday, May 6.
The ceremony in his honor begins at 09:00 with the arrival of the casket at Skanderbeg Square and its placement in the lobby of the National Opera and Ballet Theater.
Tributes will take place during the morning, while the official farewell ceremony will be held at 12:30, writes A2CNN.
Known as the "professor" of the socialists, Pëllumbi led the Socialist Party during a difficult period, when the historic leader Fatos Nano was in prison. He later also held the post of Speaker of the Parliament.
After the ceremony, he will be laid to rest in the Sharra cemetery.
