First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, stated that at the moment when the Vetëvendosje Movement did not propose Vjosa Osmani for President for another term, the opposition "calculated" that she could help them reduce the percentage of votes of the ruling party.
"The moment Vjosa Osmani was not a proposal from the LVV, the opposition's calculation has changed. The opposition wants to include President Osmani as a new element in our political scene. They think that this would reduce the percentage of the LVV. Since this element has been in the race, there have been no honest proposals, this is more of the opposition's calculation for the elections," Konjufca told the media.
Osmani, according to him, has not shown her political orientation that is against the Vetëvendosje Movement.
"I think our paths will cross again. Always open to cooperation with Mrs. Osmani," he added.
