The Committee on Security and Defense Issues has unanimously approved the Government's decision to send the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) abroad, as part of the International Stabilization Force in Gaza.
PDK MP Ganimete Musliu said that this decision proves the maturity of the state and the capacity of the KSF to assume international responsibility.
"The Kosovo Security Force, for the Kosovo soldier, is a serious, professional structure and always more willing to take responsibility beyond the country's borders. The KSF's request for participation in operations abroad, approved by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, is in the process of being reviewed in the Assembly; it is an important step that shows the maturity of our state and the confidence we have built in our defense capacities. The KSF's support in this journey must be complete and without dilemmas, therefore, on behalf of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, we offer full support, strongly believing that where the Kosovo Security Force is, there is dignity, professionalism and discipline," she said.
VV MP, Shqipe Selimi, emphasized that the KSF is ready to contribute to peacekeeping missions alongside international allies.
"The Kosovo Security Force is now ready to be a dignified partner alongside the United States of America and its allies in a peace mission in Gaza, but not only there, but is ready to be a contributor throughout the world wherever necessary. We as a state, as an assembly, are obliged to provide them with laws and international agreements that protect them, do not violate their integrity. We are responsible for what we have already done as an assembly and as a government to support them financially with funds, to have dignified training. We are doing this and will continue to do so. And once again, we support all those Kosovo Security Force soldiers who will be on a peace mission," she said.
LDK MP, Fadil Hadergjonaj, described the participation in this mission as good news for Kosovo, requesting full support for the members of the KSF.
"All the challenges in continuity, whether individually or as a team in different competitions, different training, in terms of professional education and times, and it is good news for Kosovo itself but of course also for the Kosovo Security Force, which will present itself in this mission which is the first time that we participate in a mission of this nature, of peace, where they are also within the framework of many other armies. We as the Democratic League of Kosovo support this mission, we support the KSF, at the same time we ask that these members who will land in this force, within the framework of the stability force in Gaza, have full support, both in terms of logistics and in terms of equipment", he said. /Ekonomiaonline
