Former Juventus striker Fabrizio Ravanelli believes the Serie A giants should attempt to sign Victor Osimhen in the summer, while Youssef En-Nesyri would not have made a difference at the Allianz Stadium.

The former black and white star analyzed the form of Juventus' attackers and the club's moves in the January transfer window in an interview with "Tuttosport".

David did not score in Juventus' 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in the Coppa Italia on Thursday, but has scored four goals in his last five Serie A matches.

"He was a great player at Lille. After a difficult start to the season, he seems more calm mentally," Ravanelli said.

"It's clear that he's playing calmly now and the trust Spalletti has given him is helping him. The Canadian could be an added value in the second half of the season to help Juventus achieve their objectives."

Vlahovic, injured, will return next month, but according to Ravanelli, the Serb will not play alongside David.

"I don't think so. Vlahovic and David can't play together because they are two center forwards," he argued.

Despite David's good form in 2026, coach Luciano Spalletti sought a new centre-forward in January, but Juventus only signed winger Jeremie Boga and right-back Emil Holm.

"I agree with Luciano that this Juventus needed a classic center forward. They lack this profile," said Ravanelli.

"I would follow a top-level striker like Osimhen in the summer. Juventus should try to sign him because he would be perfect for Spalletti's style. The coach knows Osimhen well and knows how to use him. He is strong in the air, fast, attacks spaces and even puts pressure on opposing defenders during the build-up play."

Randal Kolo Muani and En-Nesyri were among Juventus' targets last month.

"Kolo Muani would have been useful. He is a great player and knows the club and the players," concluded Ravanelli.

"He would have helped, while En-Nesyri doesn't have much connection with Juventus. He's not at the club's level and wouldn't have changed the balance. Better not to sign anyone than to sign En-Nesyri."/Express newspaper/
