Another serious incident has been recorded in court premises in the country, this time at the Court of First Instance in Vlora, where a lawyer exercised physical violence against a security officer.
The incident occurred this morning in the metal detector control area at the entrance to the building. According to sources, lawyer Redi Llanaj requested to enter the court premises, claiming that he had been officially summoned. After the security guard objected and did not allow him to enter, a verbal argument began between them that escalated into physical violence against the security guard.
Immediately after the incident, lawyer Llanaj was escorted to the police premises to provide explanations about the incident. We recall that Redi Llanaj is also the lawyer of former MP Monika Kryemadhi.
This is not the first case of tensions in the country's courts. Just today, in the Tirana Court of Appeal, a citizen threatened a security guard with the words "you are all going to be killed", just a few days after a tragic event in the same court, where on October 6, 2025, judge Astrit Kalaja was killed in the line of duty.
