Shkipe Berisha, an Albanian born in Sweden but with deep Albanian roots, has shared with "Kosova Live" a touching story about her experience during the war in Kosovo.
Berisha came to Kosovo as an officer in the Swedish army, but with a completely Albanian heart. Born and raised in Sweden, she says her first moments in war-torn Kosovo were among the hardest of her life.
Shkipe remembers that her presence had a special impact, especially on children and women who had experienced severe trauma.
