Users of the incognito mode (Incognito) in the Google Chrome browser have noticed an unusual problem.
If you've recently tried to open a website while in incognito mode and see the old version (including posts and other content), you're not alone.
This phenomenon has confused many users and is related to the way the "Incognito" mode works, that is, "cookies" and other services that are connected to the servers, Telegrafi reports.
When a web page is visited in regular mode, the browser saves certain elements to make the page load faster.
However, these cached versions are sometimes "on top of" the latest updates, so older content is displayed.
Considering that "Incognito" does not imply the use of cache memory, it is possible to display the latest versions of some pages.
Sometimes it happens the other way around – this happens because in regular web browsing old pages remain incorrectly cached, while “Incognito” does not have this cache, so the pages are displayed correctly.
