The Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi, congratulated Kosovo on its 18th anniversary of Independence.
He said that Kosovo's independence represents the triumph of the free will of citizens to build a democratic state.
Gashi said that relations between North Macedonia and Kosovo are strong, providing support for Kosovo on its journey.
"Kosovo's independence represents the triumph of the free will of its citizens to build a democratic, just and European-oriented state. The Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Kosovo enjoy excellent relations. Our neighborly, social and historical ties are strong and constitute an unshakable foundation for the further deepening of the partnership between our two countries. On this important day, we reaffirm our support for the successful journey of the Republic of Kosovo and express our conviction that our fraternal cooperation will continue to deepen in the service of peace, stability and prosperity of the region, as well as the advancement of our common Euro-Atlantic agenda."
