Selena Gomez shared one of her most personal reflections during the second episode of the "Friends Keep Secrets" podcast, where she was a guest along with her husband, Benny Blanco.
In a candid conversation among friends, the 33-year-old singer spoke openly about her desire to build a family and her dream for the future.
During the episode, Blanco, 37, asked their close friends, rapper Lil Dicky (Dave Burd) and his wife Kristin Batalucco, how many children they would like to have. The answers ranged from one to three children, but Gomez surprised everyone with her statement: "I want four, even though it seems a little far-fetched."
The Rare Beauty founder explained that this desire strongly connects to a scene from the holiday film “The Family Stone,” which portrays a large, noisy, and emotional family. According to Gomez, the character played by Diane Keaton reminds her of her grandmother and makes the film especially meaningful to her.
“My dream is that scene where everyone is sitting around the table,” she said. “With partners, children, or even singles. A beautiful mix of people, no matter what life brings.”
Gomez emphasized that she is aware that the future is not always predictable, but her hope remains to build a family filled with love, acceptance, and simple but precious moments.
