Today, the United Nations Security Council is expected to hold its first briefing this year on the situation in Kosovo. Foreign Minister Donika Gervalla has already traveled to New York when she will represent Kosovo, her Cabinet confirmed.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Gervalla will present before UNSC representatives the achievement of Kosovo and speak about Serbia's approach and the dangers the region is facing following Russia's aggression in Ukraine. According to the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting will be attended for the first time by the representative of Albania, who as of January 2022 became a non-permanent member of the UNSC.
The new Special Representative and head of the UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), Caroline Ziadeh, will brief on recent developments and the latest report of the Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. /GazetaExpress/
