An exclusive investigation conducted by Kosova Live, under the authorship of journalist Ajda Shukriu, has revealed shocking truths about the treatment of stray dogs in Kosovo and the way public subsidies for their "adoption" and shelter are managed.
Through fieldwork, the journalist has managed to identify locations where dogs are kept that are listed as adopted by individuals subsidized by the municipality. She has documented the alarming condition in which these animals are in unsuitable environments, without water, adequate food, and without veterinary care.
The investigation brings exclusive footage and evidence that raise serious doubts about the misuse of public funds in the name of the welfare of stray dogs.
