Endrick has spoken openly about his difficult period at Real Madrid under Xabi Alonso, admitting that the lack of minutes on the pitch helped him grow as a player.
The young Brazilian striker, who transferred from Palmeiras after a promising career in Brazil, has found his true form during a loan spell at Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1.
In an interview with FourFourTwo, the 19-year-old revealed that his start in Spain was not easy, as he struggled to find space in a star-studded squad. Despite this, he stressed that he has always maintained his professionalism and dedication in training.
"The report was normal. I learned a lot from him. In training he showed me things I needed to improve. I always gave my best. Sometimes, when things don't go well, you can feel insecure, but I kept working and waiting for my chance," Endrick said of Xabi Alonso.

After a lack of playing time, the Brazilian was loaned to Lyon in January, where he has found his best form. He has scored 6 goals and provided 5 assists in 15 matches in all competitions, becoming one of the most important players for the French team.
Endrick stressed that this new period has completely changed his perspective on the difficult start in Madrid: "Maybe if I had played more, I wouldn't be so happy now at Lyon, doing what I love most - playing football."
Looking ahead, the striker aims to end the season in top form to secure a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Brazil, while he is expected to return to Real Madrid next season to fight for a place in the starting lineup. /GazetaExpress/
