At the Qafë Thanë Border Crossing Point, the Border Police stopped and arrested an internationally wanted citizen.
This is Alija Arslan, 34 years old, from Kichevo, North Macedonia, sentenced to 20 years in prison for international drug trafficking.
He was wanted by Interpol Bern in Switzerland for drug-related crimes. Procedures for his extradition to Switzerland are currently ongoing.
