Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama is participating in the European Political Community Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In a statement to the media, Rama spoke about the progress of the negotiations, saying that Albania is running very quickly towards the EU.
Rama said that, "We are not waiting, we are running. We are running very fast. We will be ready very soon and it is up to the great ones in the hall not to wait." "but to embrace us and welcome us because we will be a great added value for the EU."
Asked if there are any lessons the EU can learn from Albania, Rama said that ""there are many, many lessons."
"To act as a whole and to achieve a convergence of everything that has to do with security, which is not the case so far. There is a lot of movement when it comes to information and data. And most importantly, not only to strengthen the military aspect, but to be a European peace plan."
Regarding the format of the European Political Community Summit, Rama said: ""This is the best thing that has happened, after the European Union itself. It is the future of Europe. And the more we move in this direction, the better it is because in the meantime, others are appearing quite strong. And the whole of Europe as a whole is a big mass in terms of people, economy and it looks very weak precisely because it is not all together.".
