Political analyst Ilir Deda has commented on the recent political developments in the country following the election of Nenad Rashiq as deputy speaker of the assembly from the ranks of the Serbian community.
Deda said that Kosovo is moving towards federalism and, according to him, when a series of political, legal and administrative decisions are made against a certain community, the negative cost to Kosovo will be that that community will seek additional political and institutional arrangements.
"What Enver Hasani said, we are moving towards federalism. When a series of political, legal, administrative decisions are made against members of a certain community in continuity, which is the negative cost or negative file of Kosovo, in the end they say that 'we have tried them with their institutions, they are not respecting them' and will seek additional political and institutional arrangements in this country when the time comes," Deda said in Klan Kosova.
Furthermore, Deda said that Kosovo will bear the costs of being a redesigned state, and according to him, that redesign of Kosovo will not be something that will be liked.
"We will bear the cost, as a state, as a redesigned state, and that redesign of Kosovo will not be something we will like, if we go down that path and if we continue with this polarizing, chauvinistic mindset, but propaganda that has been unbearable for years in Kosovo and from which, unfortunately, the entire political scene is falling prey to the propaganda of Vetëvendosje," he said.
