The Government's decision to dismiss the bar exam commission has caused a debate in the Legislation Committee between the ruling party and the opposition.
Vetëvendosje Movement MP Vigan Qorrolli has proposed that the dismissal of the commission that holds the jurisprudence exam be put on the agenda, saying that there are many candidates waiting and that no exam has been held in a year.
"The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has approved two points in this session of the Assembly, which are related to the new commission for passing the jurisprudence exam. And the second, in this case the 15th point, which is related to the public hearing of the draft law on the State Bureau for the verification and confiscation of unjustified assets. Because we think that only a working group should be formed and there is no need for a public hearing. Meanwhile, the other addition is only on the issue of the commission for passing the jurisprudence exam", said Qorrolli.
Meanwhile, Besnik Tahiri, a member of the commission from the AAK ranks, said that there must be a justification for the dismissal of a commission that is still mandated.
"I think that as long as there is a new commission that has a mandate, that is working, there is no logic in having a new jurisprudence commission when there is a commission that has a mandate, is working, and has its own function. This is, to me, an extraordinary absurdity."
"The second issue is when there is such a dilemma. So when we have a legal dilemma, imagine we want to create a new commission to name the new jurisprudence commission," said Tahiri.
Përparim Gruda, chairman of the commission from the PDK, said that only in a dictatorship does it happen that the commission mandated for the jurisprudence exam is dismissed without an individual reason because there is no collective justification.
The dismissal of the bar exam commission failed to be included as an item on the agenda of this commission because the opposition did not participate in the vote. /EO/
