Witness James Peter Covey, after the court hearing, which was in private session, opened, said that his statements regarding the incidents allegedly committed by the KLA, relate only to their assessments regarding the role that Hashim Thaçi had.
The witness said that in his opinion, none of these activities are directly related to Thaçi, reports "Oath for Justice".
"My statement is about our assessments of the role that Thaçi played. Real or alleged role in these incidents. My statement primarily indicates our judgment regarding the authority that he had over individuals who are alleged or not to have committed these crimes. In my opinion, none of these activities are directly related to Mr. Thaçi, or none of them contradict the way in which we have reached the judgment that we have reached," Covey said.
In addition, witness Covey addressed prosecutor Vega Iodice, saying that it seems she has not clarified this aspect yet as she is repeating reports regarding incidents.
"I don't think you've clarified this issue by repeating reports about these incidents over and over again," witness Covey said.
Meanwhile, the prosecutor told the witness that whenever he is asked to comment on a document, it will be related to parts of his statement or evidence.
The prosecutor told him that this is not just about his statement in general, but also about some specific statements in his statement in order to refresh his memory.
"You are taking my entire statement out of context," the witness said.
