An extraordinary session of Parliament is being held today on electricity prices and billing for consumers.
During this session, the Democratic League of Kosovo MP, Hykmete Bajrami, and the Vetëvendosje Movement MP, Ejup Ahmeti, were involved in a debate, Gazeta Express reports.
"Deputy Bajrami pointed out to me that I have connections to the energy mafia. This is not true. Tell the citizens that your husband is the owner of a pharmaceutical company, that you come out and talk about healthcare, tell the citizens," Ahmeti said.
"Regarding the latest slander, Mr. Ahmetaj, I ask you to appear before the media in the courtyard of the parliament, where you have no immunity, and to make this statement that you made, because neither I nor my husband nor any member of my extended family has any connection with any pharmaceutical company. You did not say a word that you are not a co-owner with Marin Gjonaj who is wreaking havoc in the electricity import market. You come up with other slanders," said Bajrami.
After the speech, Bajrami stood up, walked towards Ahmeti and asked her to come outside to repeat the statement. While Haxhiu asked Bajrami to stay in the country, saying that her behavior was ''unacceptable''. /Express newspaper
