British clinic Avenues, the first in the United Kingdom to use artificial intelligence in fertility treatments, is bringing a new approach to couples facing infertility.

Located in London, the clinic uses advanced AI technologies at almost every stage of treatment – from sperm selection to embryo analysis and ultrasounds.

According to specialists, this method is helping many patients find answers to unexplained infertility and realize their dream of becoming parents.

A couple who had spent more than 10 years trying unsuccessfully to have a child said the technology used by the clinic “made what seemed impossible possible.” They said that after many disappointments, AI finally helped them hold their baby in their arms.

The clinic's founder, Dr. Cristina Hickman, explained that artificial intelligence is not intended to replace doctors, but to help make more accurate and personalized decisions for patients.

In the initial phase, AI analyzes thousands of pieces of data simultaneously, including ovarian reserve, sperm quality, hormones, medical history, and ultrasounds. The technology then helps determine the most appropriate treatment and optimize medications.

One of the most advanced aspects is the analysis of eggs, sperm and embryos in the laboratory. According to the clinic, AI can identify biological patterns that the human eye cannot distinguish. The technology can predict with up to 96 percent accuracy whether an embryo will reach the blastocyst stage.

The clinic claims that its results are higher than traditional IVF standards, while another advantage is the reduced cost. Their "Fair IVF" package costs significantly less than traditional private treatments in the UK.

One of the most special stories was that of a couple where the man suffered from globozoospermia, a very rare form of male infertility. Thanks to a combination of AI techniques and the “ICSI SPARK” method, the couple managed to have a biological child with their genetic material.

According to experts, the future of fertility will increasingly be linked to the integration of artificial intelligence, science and clinical care to provide more accurate and effective treatments for patients. /GazetaExpress/
