New technology in the electric car industry is bringing about an unusual idea: headlights that can project full-length movies, bringing back the feel of drive-in theaters in a modern way.
The Chinese company has introduced its new XPixel lighting system, which includes a mode called “outdoor cinema.” The new headlights have about a million pixels and can project full-color images onto any surface in front of the car.
This means drivers can display movies or sports broadcasts directly from the car's entertainment system, turning any space into a big screen.
Works in any weather
The system is designed to function in different weather conditions, automatically adapting to rain or fog. In addition to entertainment, the headlights also adjust the lighting while driving to increase safety.
More than just movies
The technology doesn't just stop at projecting movies. It can display messages on the road for other drivers, such as "you go first," as well as assist with maneuvers like lane changes.

The system can also project interactive games for children on the ground, turning the car into a mobile entertainment center.
The first and future models
The technology will debut on the luxury Aito M9 and is expected to spread to other Chinese electric cars. However, it is not currently available in the UK or European markets.
In parallel, other manufacturers like XPeng are introducing new models with artificial intelligence, while CATL has unveiled batteries that charge in just a few minutes.
A race for innovation
Experts point out that the car industry is shifting from traditional performance towards innovation and user experience.
As one industry leader put it: when machines can project movies, the competition is no longer about engine power—but about imagination. /GazetaExpress/
