Eugen Cakolli from KDI has stated that the recent period of "discussions" on the issue of the President has been preparatory work for the early election campaign of June 7.
According to him, the goal was not the election of the President itself, but the archiving of rejections and public justifications for failure, which, as he says, have already begun to appear and are expected to intensify in the coming days and weeks.
His full post:
The entire recent period of "discussions" on the issue of the President has been simply preparation for the early election campaign of June 7th.
More than the election of the President itself, the goal seems to have been to archive the rejections and public justifications for failure, which we began to see today and which will intensify in the days and weeks to come.
Otherwise, how do you explain the fact that you mentioned some time ago, a threshold of 84-85 MPs for the President's issue, and now also an offer (plus) for a quarter of the government, and still at a maximum of 80-81 votes - which are also highly debatable?!
Or that the position for which the country was kept in crisis (supposedly) for almost a year was easily offered in 'negotiation'?
