"Now, in Ohrid, the Bazaar cannot be closed on Sundays. Winter tourists do not come to Ohrid on Tuesdays, but on Sundays. I think it will not contribute. Soon after this, it will be seen that it has no effects and it will be withdrawn," said the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in an interview with Voice of America.

"I think it will not contribute. Soon after this, it will be seen that it has no effects and it will be withdrawn," said the president of the Chamber of Commerce of North Macedonia in an interview with Voice of America, responding to a question about the Chamber of Commerce's position on Sunday being a non-working day.

Voice of America: The new thing this year, starting January 1st, is "Sunday - a non-working day." What is the attitude of businessmen?

"Our stance has always been negative. Although the government tried to leave some categories out of these provisions, we consider that it is a market category and that we should treat all market categories in that way."

It is not possible now, in Ohrid, for the Bazaar to be closed on Sundays. Winter tourists in Ohrid do not come on Tuesdays, but on Sundays. We have also done analysis in other countries. This thing exists there. But, they are countries with high standards, with a different religious orientation. You cannot compare them and take them as an example.

"I think the government didn't want to hear this to the end. It had decided to do this, I don't know why." "There are many reasons. And I don't think it will contribute. Soon after this it will be seen that it has no effects and it will be withdrawn," said Azeski.

(Azeski's full interview will be published on Wednesday, and we conducted it on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the existence of the Chamber of Commerce of North Macedonia.)
