Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Vlora Çitaku, in her speech delivered at the Parliament's rostrum after the constitutive session, declared about the false bomb alarm that occurred today. She said that the Parliament, which is the highest institution in the country, was embarrassed, writes Gazeta Express.
Çitaku also stated that today's case has exposed the damage done to security mechanisms by the "previous" Kurti government.
The MP also said that the Assembly is neither a hotel nor a restaurant where people enter without any type of checks, and who is the institution that has assessed the level of risk in the Assembly today.
''In the end, today we were all witnesses to a situation that caused panic, but which at the same time revealed the extreme damage to the security sector mechanisms in this country by the previous Kurti Government. How is it possible that an anonymous phone call forced the assembly to abandon the session, 120 deputies to leave the hall without any kind of verification and assessment. Who is that mechanism and that institution that has assessed the level of danger today in the Assembly. This is the highest institution of the country, it is neither a hotel nor a restaurant where people enter and leave without any kind of controls. How is it possible that the highest institution in the country has been shamed in the way it was shamed today. And beyond the shame, fear and panic were caused everywhere. Once again, I call on deputy Kurti to reflect, Kosovo is bigger than him,'' she declared. /Express newspaper
