The leader of the Alliance for Albanians, Ziadin Sela, called on MP Ilir Demiri to return his mandate as an MP, after the latter decided to join VLEN.
Sela assesses that since Demir's departure from the ASH, none of his statements or actions have been in line with the party's positions, adding that Demir has continuously contradicted himself.
"I distance myself from any political action, just as we distanced ourselves from the case when he voted for the 'Safe City' law, created the Badenter to be elected Ombudsman. So we have distanced ourselves and it is up to him what the next political steps will be, but in the ethical and moral aspect, he has received a mandate as a member of the ASH and he must hand over that mandate," declared Ziadin Sela, chairman of the ASH.
