Hekuran Murati, acting Minister of Finance, said today that business turnover for the first six months of 2025 has hit a "record" of 10.7 billion euros, and that according to him, this represents an increase of 10.3% compared to the same period last year when this figure was 9.7 billion euros.
Democratic League of Kosovo MP Hykmete Bajrami reacted to this.
Bajrami said that the price increase affects the increase in turnover, because for essential items, demand is inelastic, and that if Murat disagrees with this, then the latter should show which companies' turnover has increased the most during their mandate.
"Tell the economist - interpreter of the constitution - that a price increase affects the increase in turnover, because for necessary items the demand is inelastic. If he does not agree with this, let him show us which companies' turnover has increased the most during their mandate."
