The Ferizaj Regional Police have announced that a suspected case of the use of a counterfeit 20 euro banknote was reported at a gas station.
Police have identified three suspects.
"On 06.02.2026, at around 19:30, in the village of Prelez i Jerlive in Ferizaj, at a fuel pump, a suspected case of using a counterfeit 20 euro banknote was reported. The police patrol identified three suspects: Sh. V. (27 years old) a citizen of Kosovo and two Palestinian citizens, NZ (30 years old) and MO (28 years old). During the search, a small amount of suspected narcotic substances, two grinders and the suspected banknote were seized."
The two foreign nationals were detained for 48 hours, while Sh. V. was released after being interviewed.
While yesterday, the suspects' rented apartment in Ferizaj was identified, where identification documents from other countries were found and seized.
"It was also found that MO had an international arrest warrant, while he was accompanied by the Kosovar minor AT (17 years old). During the search of her apartment in Kaçanik, 39 suspected counterfeit 50-dollar bills, a small amount of narcotics and foreign documents were found. The narcotic substance belonged to ED (19 years old)."
"All actions were carried out in coordination with the Border Investigation Unit and the Basic Prosecution Office in Ferizaj. The minor was interviewed in the presence of her parent and lawyer, while she and ED were released for further proceedings."
