Political analyst Agon Maliqi has reacted to the recent political developments in Kosovo, following the failure of the Assembly to elect a new president within the constitutional deadline.
Through a post on the social network X, Maliqi emphasized that the country is heading towards a new cycle of extraordinary elections.
"Believe it or not, Kosovo is heading towards a new round of extraordinary elections after the Assembly failed to agree on the election of the president in time. President Osmani has just issued a decree dissolving the Assembly," his post reads.
Believe it or not, Kosovo is going into a new set of snap elections after parliament failed to agree on a new president on time! President Osmani just issued a decree dissolving parliament!

Maliqi added that it is expected that the decision will be challenged in the Constitutional Court, but he does not believe that this will change the situation.
"They will probably appeal to the Constitutional Court, but I don't see that this will change anything - it can only delay the elections for a while," Maliqi wrote.
