The party race for president, announced by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, has only one result according to LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku: going to the elections.
After the meeting with Kurti in the Parliament where the issue of the President was discussed once again, Abdixhiku said that "for the race, the LDK does not believe there is a solution."
"It is a procedure predetermined to fail. If the Vetëvendosje Movement and the PDK decide to have a competition, then we will go to the elections in all likelihood, because I don't know how we will get 80 votes," he said.
He said "let them try the race," referring to Kurti's warning and PDK's request that the president come from this party.
"But LDK suggests that consensus be tested before the race," he said.
