What was rumored to be a breakdown in relations between LDK or its leader Lumir Abdixhiku and Pristina Mayor Përparim Rama has finally been sealed by yesterday's developments.

Rama himself, weeks ago, denied that there was a cooling of relations between him and Abdixhiku.

"There is no problem," Rama replied when asked by T7 about this situation.

But the situation on the ground is completely different, as the mayor of Pristina has long since initiated a leadership 'reform' within the municipality, removing numerous directors and appointing new ones.

The coalition that Përparim Rama has formed with the Democratic Party of Kosovo, in the capital, leaves no doubt.

Last night, PDK deputy leader Uran Ismaili, invited to the Pressing on T7, exclusively announced the agreement reached with Rama. Also, today, the implementation of this agreement began. Rama appointed PDK's Besiana Musmurat as deputy mayor of the municipality

LDK, meanwhile, confirmed that Rama had not asked them about his movements. The latter, through a press release, announced that this party is not part of any political agreement with other parties in the capital, and that any other coalition does not represent the position of this party, thus distancing itself from the Rama-PDK agreement.

This position of the LDK came after the announcement that Ismaili made last night, and after many new appointments to the municipal directorates made by Rama.

Among the names replaced in the leadership of Pristina are Sokol Havolli and Izet Sadiku. Havolli left the Capital Investments Directorate, and Sadiku left the Health Directorate.

Rama was selected for the race for the mayor of Pristina, both in the 2021 and 2025 elections, by Abdixhiku himself. He has repeatedly emphasized that he is not a party member, even though in the last elections held in Kosovo, both were part of the campaigns together.

The breakdown of relations with Rama is coming at a time when the LDK leader has been committed in recent weeks to the return of former president Vjosa Osmani to this party, and a month before the early parliamentary elections which will be held on June 7.

In addition to the relations between Rama and Abdixhiku, there have been reports of other dissatisfaction within the LDK, where departures have also been mentioned, such as that of the mayor of Peja, Gazmend Muhaxheri. However, this has been denied by the latter.Express newspaper
