Volodymyr Zelensky met in Kiev with US special envoy Keith Kellogg.
The meeting took place within the framework of diplomatic efforts to advance towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict, while Zelensky stressed the importance of cooperation with the US and Europe in the field of defense.
The Ukrainian president wrote in a post on Telegram:
"We discussed the path to peace and what we can do concretely together to bring it closer. This includes strengthening air defense for Ukraine, joint production and purchase of defensive weapons with Europe. And of course, sanctions against Russia and those who help it."
The Ukrainian president personally thanked Keith Kellogg for the visit and support, also expressing gratitude to Donald Trump.
Kellogg's visit to Ukraine comes at a critical moment for international security and diplomacy, as the next White House could play a decisive role in the course of the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
