A day after the murder of police officer Muhamed Lika, on April 2 of this year, Kosovo Police interviewed a witness.
Witness DD, in his statement to the Police, says that he heard several explosions from his apartment, while he says that at that moment he saw two young boys running.
"I was outside and I heard four explosions, the last one being at a greater distance than the first three, and after a few seconds, maybe a minute, I saw two young men running who came from the direction where I live, who ran, roughly one behind the other, running past the mosque to go up 'Ramadan Agushi' street, next to the municipal building," witness DD stated, MAT reports.
The police officer asks the witness to describe what they looked like.
"I can tell they were young because they were talking while running, they said, 'Stop it, you've had it,'" said one of them, but I don't know which one. They were dressed: the first had a dark green, hoodless, saffiano jacket, which he had tucked up to his chin. The second one caught my eye with his Adam's apple, which was very pronounced. The first was a little taller than the second, about 1.80 cm, I don't remember what else they were wearing," DD further states.
He says he saw the incident alone, but emphasizes that there was another person on the other side of the road, Haki Bela, who he says was standing in one place.
"I was alone, and on the other side, in the direction of the 'Free Shop', or the police station at the oak, approximately 20 meters away from me, Haki Bela, who has a big beard and wears glasses, had stopped and was watching those young boys running," the witness further says.
