Haven't updated to Windows 11 in a while? If you haven't, you might be among those who will be ignored by Microsoft.
Windows 11 21H2 and 22H2 will no longer be supported by the company. This means that anyone running such a version of Windows will not receive security updates, fixes, or new features.
Doing so would expose your computer to the risks of malware, security issues, and similar threats.
On Sunday, Microsoft changed the information on its dedicated Windows 11 website to inform users that versions 21H2 and 22H2 of Windows 11 Home, Pro, Pro Education, and Pro for Workstations will no longer be supported.
Only Enterprise and Education editions are spared and will continue to receive updates to Windows 11 22H2 until October 14, 2025.
How do you know what version of Windows 11 you have installed?
Head to Settings, select System, and then click About. Scroll to the bottom of this section to see Windows specifications and find the version you have installed.
If it says Windows 11 23H2, then you're safe. But if you have an older version? Then you need to update your computer yourself.
Go to Windows Update and click the Check for Updates button. Microsoft will automatically download and install the latest updates, which include version 23H2. If you don't do it yourself but automatic updates are turned on, then the latest version of Windows 11 will be installed as part of the update on the first Tuesday of each month. /PCWorld Albanian
