The Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, invited to the Pressing on T7, made a statement about the presidential issue, where he was asked why Vetëvendosje is not running Vjosa Osmani for president.
Murati said that Osmani "has never presented himself as a consensual candidate."
"President Osmani has never been presented as a consensual candidate. They (the opposition) have told us ''this is your candidate''. I believe we all know that PDK, Mr. Hamza came out and said ''we won't even stand in the hall if Mrs. Osmani comes out''. Lumir Abdixhiku, after several discussions and interviews, said ''it's not that we are against it'', but he did not say that they are for it. Moreover, if we want to see the position of the LDK, we saw it last night in the session where the Constitutional amendments were submitted by President Osmani, on behalf of the LDK, Abdixhiku came out and said ''we support them'', but after Abdixhiku came out two LDK deputies, Hykmete Bajrami, and Armend Zemaj, and said ''withdraw these amendments because we do not support them'', said Murati.
Regarding the latter, the show's moderator Leonard Kerquki reacted by denying Murat, saying that "neither Armendi nor Bajrami have said they do not support them." /Express
