Henley on this occasion focuses on those countries that offer particularly promising prospects.

The index focuses on countries with strong access to networks and high-quality institutions – factors that create optimal conditions for career opportunities and earning potential, albinfo.ch reports. Switzerland tops the list.

A new ranking shows where careers and incomes are particularly promising – and Switzerland comes out on top.

Why is Switzerland leading?

With 86 out of 100 possible points, the Swiss Confederation combines a stable economic environment, excellent education and excellent career prospects. Added to this are political and social stability, multilingualism, first-class banking services and a highly developed infrastructure – all elements of a particularly attractive standard of living.

The Swiss Residency Program also allows for residence in Switzerland with a minimum tax contribution of 250,000 Swiss francs per year.

Second and third place: Singapore and Australia

Singapore comes in second place with a score of 81. The city-state is considered a strategic hub connecting Asian capital flows, global trade networks and dynamic innovation ecosystems – thus offering excellent income and career opportunities.

Australia comes in third with a score of 80. The country scores highly with internationally renowned universities, strong research and an exceptionally high quality of life.

4th place: Great Britain and USA
The UK and the US share fourth place with 79 points each. Their unique density of top universities, global financial centres and innovation-driven economies is the deciding factor.

5th place: Canada
With a score of 78, Canada ranks fifth. The country impresses with its highly internationalized labor market and world-renowned universities.
