The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) has unanimously approved the joint candidacy of the Kosovo Volleyball Federation and the Albanian Volleyball Federation for the organization of the European U16 Boys' Volleyball Championship in 2027.
The decision was made at a meeting of the CEV Board of Administration and was confirmed through an official letter from CEV President Roko Sikirić to the presidents of the two federations, Bahri Gjinovci and Erlind Pëllumbi.
This championship will take place in the summer of 2027 in Pristina and Tirana, while the grand final will take place in Pristina.
The tournament will bring together 16 national teams from across Europe, giving young volleyball players the opportunity to show their potential and take the first steps towards an international career.

"This decision by the CEV also comes as a result of the very successful organization by Kosovo and Albania of the U16 European Championship for Girls, which was held during the summer of 2026 and was highly praised by European volleyball institutions," the Kosovo Volleyball Federation announced.
Seeing this successful cooperation and the high organizational standard, CEV has decided to once again entrust the two federations with the organization of another important European volleyball event for young age groups.
This championship is expected to bring the most promising talents of European volleyball to Kosovo and Albania, providing an important stage where the stars of the future will have the opportunity to shine. /Express newspaper
