Democratic League of Kosovo MP Lutfi Haziri in DPT, on Fidani in Klan Kosova, has responded to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who had doubts about the LDK's signatures for president.
Kurti said in a press conference that the LDK last night (Monday, April 27) presented a document with 15 signatures from their parliamentary group, which, according to him, was dated April 25 and did not indicate what those signatures were for.
And Haziri, in his statement to Klan Kosova, said that the signatures were given for the president's issue, without specifying whether they were for any specific name or not.
"Are the signatures for Osmani or someone else? We, through Chairman Abdihxiku, have made it clear that Osmani can also be a candidate, she can be, but the candidate on behalf of the LDK must be discussed within the LDK. We have been ready, we have had good will, we have had a positive approach to giving the country a president. We are aware that Ms. Osmani, despite the fact that the December 28th race was held in her name and votes were collected for her by exponents and the LVV list and part of other parties, was expected, but Kurti decided that after December 28th to constitute the Assembly, elect the government, approve the budget, international agreements, which we have voted for, we have not blocked. What is the reason for telling us today that you are obstructing the election of the President? There is none."
"We are the solution to every problem, but we should not be treated as an addition, as part of the third government, or just as an object in which you can find fault and blame," he added.
He further said that the LDK was ready to reach an agreement on the presidential issue, but stressed that Kurti always "finds excuses for the LDK."
"First and most importantly, [we met] to give the opportunity to reach an agreement and build trust. With this kind of energy, what is being given to the opposite, to reason, to contradict, to reply, to find, to excuse, the goal was achieved immediately, by the end of January most of the work was done. But he made a sequence of five steps wrong, it has proven that the LDK with constructiveness, cooperation and pragmatism, has implemented and accepted the results of the elections. We have participated in all the meetings and we wanted to reach an agreement for the president and we ended with an offer for the assembly or for the government. This is what Mr. Kurti says when he sees the LDK, 'The good bride but the blind eye'. He always finds excuses, every kind of action that we have done, he has found excuses, like last night.
"Lumir Abdixhiku has had the Parliamentary Group in full support, since the first meeting with Kurti. He has given him support for reaching an agreement for the president. The name issue was of course discussed between the parties, but after a decision by the LDK. Abdixhiku has made it known that the LDK should be heard and decide, but not the LDK. I was called to have a quorum and the LDK was called to tell me if they liked the proposed names," said Haziri. /Klankosova.tv
