On Thursday, Dejan Pelević, suspected of war crimes in the municipality of Skenderaj, appeared before the Court.
The Special Prosecution has requested from the Basic Court in Pristina to impose a 1-month detention measure on the suspect Pelević.
The suspect Pelević is suspected in the investigations conducted that, in his capacity as a member of the Serbian MUP during the war in Kosovo, stationed at the Skenderaj Police Station, uniformed and armed, in March 1999 in Skenderaj, in complicity with other members, organized as a group, participated in a police-military operation, where they forcibly expelled civilians from their properties, beat, tortured, injured and deprived 15 Albanian civilians of their lives, and disappeared 16 other civilians in two locations in Skenderaj.
He was arrested on Tuesday in Soqanica, Leposavic.
