Brahim Diaz's future is not yet clear.
The Spanish footballer was an important point for coach Carlo Ancelotti, although he often entered the game from the bench.
But, with the arrival of coach Xabi Alonso, things have changed, writes "Gazeta Express".
The former Milan footballer has had few minutes on his feet with the new coach at the Club World Cup and it is not yet known whether the Moroccan representative will stay at the "Santiago Bernabeu" in the 2025/26 edition or not.
Alonso has relied more on Arda Gulerin and Diaz has remained in the shadows.
He played only 45 minutes against Pachuca, 26 against Al-Hilal and 9 minutes against Salzburg, while in the duels with Juventus and Borussia Dortmund he did not enter the game at all.
And just before the Club World Cup, the player himself had said that he would discuss his future with the new coach, Xabi Alonso.
"Today we have an excellent new coach, who knows this club perfectly and who knows what awaits us. I have always had the ambition to succeed here, it has been my objective from the beginning," the winger said.
However, the player's wish would be to renew his contract.
According to Spanish outlet AS, his stay in Madrid should not be in doubt at all, but the youngster should fight to earn a place in the team for next season.
Rodrygo's eventual departure from the Bernabeu would free up a lot of space for Brahim Diaz. /Express newspaper
