Vedat Muriqi scored a goal for Mallorca on Sunday, but it wasn't enough for his team to avoid defeat.
In the 24th week of La Liga, Mallorca was defeated at home 2-1 by Real Betis, however the Kosovar striker set a personal record.
In the 66th minute he scored beautifully with a header, achieving his 16th goal of the season.
This is his most productive season in the Spanish top flight, having surpassed the number of goals scored in previous seasons.
Until now, his La Liga record with Mallorca was 15 goals.
With this achievement, Muriqi reached the 50-goal mark in La Liga and is now only four goals away from equaling the club record held by Samuel Eto'o.
If he continues at this pace, he has a real chance of breaking this long-standing record.

Meanwhile, OptaJose highlighted another achievement: Muriqi is the top headed goalscorer in Europe's top five leagues this season and the first Mallorca player to score six headed goals in a single season.
He had several more scoring opportunities, but failed to convert them again.
Before the start of the match, he was honored with the "Player of the Month for January" award, which he won for the second time.
