The US embassy in Kuwait is closed "until further notice".
The announcement in X states that the decision was made due to "ongoing regional tensions."
"We have canceled all consular meetings - regular and emergency," the post says.
Earlier, the US State Department urged Americans in many parts of the Middle East - including Kuwait - to leave by commercial means, due to "serious security risks".
The closure of the embassy in Kuwait comes after the US Embassy in Riyadh was attacked by two drones overnight.
