US forces have attacked 16 ships laying mines near the Strait of Hormuz.
Footage posted on social media shows a series of strikes on various types of ships, most of which are anchored in ports.
"US forces destroyed several Iranian naval vessels on March 10, including 16 mine-laying vessels near the Strait of Hormuz," US Central Command announced on platform X.
Otherwise, Donald Trump declared during the day that the US has "completely destroyed 10 inactive mine-laying ships", adding that "there will be more".
This statement comes after the US president had previously stated that the Strait of Hormuz is suspected of being mined.
He said Washington had "no reports" that Iran had done such a thing, but added that if this is true, "we want them removed immediately."
Otherwise, American authorities have stated that attacks on Iranian facilities will intensify in the coming days. /Telegraph/
