US Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to travel to Islamabad for the second round of peace talks between the US and Iran, Donald Trump has announced.
A delegation from Iran has reportedly been informed that it may participate in the talks, but Iranian state media has cast doubt on their participation. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said there are currently no confirmed plans for a new round of negotiations.
The American delegation consists of three key figures: JD Vance, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner. The talks come after a temporary ceasefire between the US and Iran, while it remains unclear whether the Iranian side will officially participate in the meetings, writes CNN.
