United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres is calling for the US and Iran to resume negotiations in the hope of ending the war, claiming it is "clear" that "there is no military solution" to the conflict, the BBC reported, Gazeta Express reports.
Guterres says the ceasefire "must be absolutely respected" and "all violations must stop," adding: "I call for the resumption of talks to reach an agreement."
The Secretary-General also reminds all nations to "respect freedom of navigation, including in the Strait of Hormuz, in accordance with international law."
