At least two ships have passed through the Strait of Hormuz since the ceasefire was announced between Iran, the US and Israel, according to MarineTraffic. However, hundreds more remain blocked in the Persian Gulf, including 426 tankers and 34 gas tankers, CNN reports.
The ships NJ Earth and Daytona Beach followed the route near Iran's Larak Island, a Revolutionary Guard checkpoint for controlling passage.
Oil prices fell after the ceasefire, but experts do not expect a quick resumption of movement through this key hub, where about 20% of the world's oil supply passes.
