Two people were arrested today in Pristina on suspicion of committing serious thefts in different areas of the capital, police said.
The Capital Investigations Sector said that after intensive investigative and operational work, it managed to identify and arrest them.
"Suspects AD, 47 years old, and HM, 48 years old, have been arrested on suspicion of committing 27 criminal offenses of "Aggravated Theft". During the investigation, material evidence was obtained that supports the suspicion of their involvement in these cases," the police statement said.
The police also said that searches were carried out at the residences of the suspects, where material evidence related to the suspected criminal offenses was seized.
"As part of the investigation, other investigative measures have been taken, in coordination with the State Prosecutor, with the aim of identifying and fully clarifying the cases. By decision of the State Prosecutor, the suspects have been detained for 48 hours."
