KFOR has announced that Turkish soldiers who are part of this mission have conducted patrols together with personnel from the British Scots Guards deployed in Kosovo as part of NATO reserve forces.
KFOR also said that these activities maintain a visible and impartial presence, increase situational awareness and support overall security in the region.

Turkish soldiers from the Eastern Regional Command of the NATO-led KFOR mission conducted a joint patrol in their area of responsibility together with personnel from the United Kingdom's Scots Guards deployed in Kosovo as part of NATO's reserve forces.
Such activities maintain a visible and impartial presence, increase situational awareness, and support overall security in the region, in accordance with KFOR's UN mandate.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 – to contribute to a secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and in an impartial manner. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
