US President Donald Trump has said that "one way or another, we will soon open the Strait of Hormuz."
In a post on his Truth Social platform, he wrote that he hopes China, France, Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom will send warships to the main shipping channel so that it "is no longer a threat" from Iran.
He added that many countries will send warships to keep the main shipping channel "open and safe."
He stressed that the US will "bomb all the way to the coast and continuously shoot Iranian ships."
Trump claimed that the US has "destroyed 100% of Iran's military capability", but said it is still "easy" for them to use drones, mines and missiles.
Iran's representative in Geneva, Ali Bahrani, said Trump's claims about eliminating Tehran's capabilities are "based on fabricated lies."
