President Donald Trump used his Truth Social platform on Friday to announce that the United States will buy all of Iran's nuclear "dust" and that no money will be "exchanged" as part of ongoing negotiations to end the war.
"The US will take all the Nuclear 'Dust' created by our large B2 bombers - No money will be exchanged in any way shape or form," Trump wrote.
The president's reference to "Nuclear Dust" appears to be a reference to Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium, although the phrase is not a well-known term in the nuclear energy industry.
Trump appeared to be referring to a report from Axios, which said the US was considering releasing $20 billion in frozen Iranian funds in exchange for Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium.
Trump also spoke about the 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, writing that the agreement to secure Iran's enriched uranium "is in no way subject to Lebanon, but the United States, separately, will work with Lebanon and deal with the Hezbollah situation in an appropriate manner."
