The nominee of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, for the position of US Ambassador to Albania, Eric Wendt, will appear tomorrow at a hearing before the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
President Trump officially nominated Wendt for this post on April 13, selecting him as the successor to the current ambassador in Tirana.
Eric Wendt has a long military and international security career, with over 34 years of service in the US Army.
He is a retired officer and has held important positions in the American and NATO military structures.
Among his most important duties are the leadership of NATO's Special Operations Command, as well as high-level engagements in the Middle East and the Pacific region.
The Senate hearing is one of the key steps for his confirmation as the new US ambassador to Albania.
