Trepça has achieved an important victory in the first semi-final of the Kosovo Super League basketball play-off, defeating Sigal Prishtina with a score of 80:65 at the "Minatori" gym.
The Mitrovica team displayed clear dominance in the second half of the match, building the lead from quarter to quarter: 18:17, 23:11, 23:17 and 16:20.
Despite a stronger effort from Prishtina in the final period, the lead created earlier by Trepca was enough to secure the victory and a 1:0 lead in the series.
The semifinal series is played with a "best of 5" system, meaning that the team that achieves three wins qualifies for the final.
This victory gives Trepça an important psychological advantage and it will conduct the next battle with more calm.
